Hello and
welcome to the
home of my stories.

I love a good story, don’t you?

Whether fairy tale or feature film, stories have the power to take us on a journey deep within our own imaginations. They draw upon our experience and dare us to explore different worlds and new perspectives. But as we reach the final chapter or as the closing credits roll, they deliver us gently back into the present moment, with a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

The story of my journey as a scriptwriter is just beginning and each of my scripts are a work in progress. But as the protagonist of my own life story, my script writing quest has already taken me on many adventures and despite the challenges, I have travelled too far to turn back now.

I hope that you enjoy my work and find originality, creativity and a little bit of me within it.

About Me

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a writer.

From books and blogs to poetry and prose, I have penned my way through the past 30 years.

But for far longer than that, I have wanted to write for performance. Because although I haven’t always been a story writer, I have always been a story teller. As a yarn spinner a saga sharer and a risible raconteur I have an ability to see stories everywhere and delight in sharing them with others.

Whether I am imagining the series of events that conspired in a stranger’s enigmatic tattoo, or conjuring up the character who hastily scrawled a cryptic message on the back of a vintage post card. I delight in the enigma and irony that makes us human and the opportunity to explore universal truths with hope and humour.

My story so Far

From the ordinary world, to the call for adventure.

It’s the characters’ reaction to the event, that dictates how the story will develop, not the event itself.

My reaction to the events of 2020, was to undertake an online script writing course with the University of East Anglia, and write my way into a better place. This first foray into the world of writing for performance was an exciting introduction which led to an insightful Sitcom Writing course with City Academy and an invaluable Screen Writing boot camp with the Arvon Foundation the following year.

My script writing journey so far has enabled me to grow as a writer and develop my knowledge of both the theory and practice of scriptwriting from a range of industry professionals. But in addition to continuing to develop my script writing portfolio for the screen, the next stage in my learning journey is to develop my knowledge and experience of writing for the stage.
